GRACIOUS

Today topic is the word gracious. Yep, assignment given by Mr Ong.
ok, firstly, Gracious is a word which meant kindness, warm courtesy, merciful or compassionate nature. and people also use the word as a form of shockness used to express surprise or mild emotion, I mean, people say that when they are shock. Eg. " Oh My GOD! Goodness Gracious!"

But overall the word is a word to describe people who is kind, helpful, courteous and compassionate. Eg. People who help old folks to carry heavy things, give up their seats in buses or MRT trains to elderly, pregnant women parents carrying their children in public transport.And i just know many of them they are really VERY kind and willing to help other people without fail to people even though they didn't met that person before. But the word seem to be describing dancer on the stage when they dance, is describe by they way they dance. Eg. the dancer look gracious when dancing on stage.

Basically, gracious also meant charmed by one's beauty. And there are many others synonyms which has almost the same meaning as gracious. Eg:

accommodating, affable, amiable, amicable, approachable, beneficent, benevolent, benign, benignant, bighearted, bland, bonhomous, charitable, chivalrous, civil, compassionate, complaisant, congenial, considerate, cordial, courteous, courtly, easy, forthcoming, friendly, gallant, genial, giving, good-natured, goodhearted, hospitable, indulgent, kindly, lenient, loving, merciful, mild, obliging, pleasing, polite, sociable, stately, suave, tender, unctuous, urbane, well-mannered

and Gracious antonyms has the opposite meaning of the word gracious. Eg:

awkward, bad-mannered, barbaric, bearish, bucolic, cantankerous, churlish, cloddish, clodhopping, clownish, clumsy, coarse, countrified, gross, gruff, ill-bred, ill-mannered, impolite, loud, loutish, lowbred, lubberly, oafish, ornery, provincial, rough, rude, rustic, swainish, tasteless, ugly, uncivilized, uncouth, uncultured, uneducated, ungracious, unpoised, unpolished, unrefined, vulgar

And finally, this word really describe my friend, my classmate, yep, Grace[ Sorry for using your name, I need it for this assignment hope you won't mind ] , as you can see, her name "grace" decribe the best of her, yes, she's gracious.
