a few days ago, i went to the attend the East Coast Biodiversity Workshop. It was fun looking out for those sea creatures on the beach. these are some of them which i saw:

this is the seagrass there's quite a lot of them there. even saw some sea snails feeding on them

this is a sea squirt, it has 2 opening on the top and i think i works like a filter? whatever

This is a sand dollar, it's a kind of starfish actually.

this is a horseshoe crab, it's living in this world since the dinosaur period, it's known as a living fossil. Interesting uh? there are more interesting facts. but i won't write it down

it's a sea cucumber (this is an animal, not plant), it squirt out liquid substance to distract its predators. sometimes the predator is not distracted by the substance, and the sea cucumber will squirt out its guts/intestines for the predator to eat while it get away. after it squirt out the guts, it will take weeks to grow back a new guts. cool man!

this is a carpet anemone, see the hole in the middle? it's a place where it eats and remove waste [shit] (this is an animal, not plant)

this is a sea pen, a dead one. it is an animal too. i'm not quite sure how it function

these are button shells, mostly contain a hermit crab, those shells have really nice colour and patterns

this is a hermit crab, it's a nice crab, esp. the shell. There's alot of them at Changi beach.
well, in this trip, i know a lot more animals. it is a learning experience for me. I kind of miss catching crabs, pressing sea cucumber and look for seahorses. well, i guess i will go back some days to have fun.
